I recently finished "The Rose and the Thorn." I downloaded a free copy of his short story 'The Jester' was instantly hooked and downloaded the rest of his books. I love his return to the classic D & D style thief & knight tale. I was so excited to find The Ryiyrian series. Besides writing fantasy I am an avid reader of the genre. I was telling my husband how sick I was getting of the same retelling of the WoT and GRRM epic fantasies. Then up popped Michael's book. Truly a reading treat. And now I learn that YOU are in the business too. I know he credits you with his success, but it is wonderful to see another writing partnership-similiar to my husband's and me. I've always admired Charles de Lint and his wife as well, for the same reason. Keep up the good work. And, THANKS for the great marketing advice. I'm just getting into that side of writing so this article was of particular interest. Good luck to you both.Valerie Hemlinhttp://www.goodreads.com/user/show/31278868-valerie-hemlinnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3511332502155562886.post-9919875226160916582013-03-07T21:31:17.498-05:002013-03-07T21:31:17.498-05:00Hey, Ive interacted with your husband on GR (His b...Hey, Ive interacted with your husband on GR (His books are awesome) and now I see where he may have gotten his great people skills from. I have mostly four and five star ratings so the above will work well, but the occassional 2 or 3 ratings don't help and may not even be my "reader." Do I even bother emailing these people, and if so, how do I go about it? I certainly don't want their 2 star rating to turn into a 2 star review?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3511332502155562886.post-60380041316966681862011-10-30T09:44:50.754-04:002011-10-30T09:44:50.754-04:00lol "drive buy shooter"

Or would they get annoyed and consider it to be spamming? I would almost feel like a solicitor knocking on a door with a sign 'No Solicitors Allowed'...

TerraTerra Harmonyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06108760721522224877noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3511332502155562886.post-91604712181270704092011-10-20T21:40:12.706-04:002011-10-20T21:40:12.706-04:00It never ceases to amaze me when readers say, &quo...It never ceases to amaze me when readers say, "I can't believe you responded!"
